ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Media studies

Media studies is when we learn about all the different ways we get information and entertainment, like the news on TV, the internet, books, music, and movies.

We study how these things are made, how they affect us, and why people like them. We also learn about how different types of media can influence the way we think and feel.

For example, have you ever watched a really scary movie and then felt scared even after the movie was over? That's because the movie influenced your feelings and thoughts.

Media studies also helps us understand how people use media to tell stories, share information, and express their ideas. We learn about things like bias, propaganda, and how to recognize credible sources of information.

So, media studies is kind of like learning about all the different ways we learn and have fun, and figuring out how to understand and use them in a smart way.
