Medical terminology

Medical Terminology is a language used by doctors, nurses and other health care professionals. It uses words and phrases that have special meanings that describe diseases, treatments, anatomy and other medical topics. For example, a disease that affects the heart might be called "cardiomyopathy". This is easier for healthcare professionals to use because it is specific and easier to remember than trying to explain it all in everyday language.
