Spin is when someone tries to make something sound better than it really is. It is like when a person tells a story and they make it sound even more exciting or special than it really was. For example, imagine a person saying they saw a big elephant but after hearing their story, you think they saw an elephant the size of a house! The person was spinning the story by making it sound much bigger and more impressive than it was.
