Medieval transport

So, you know how we have cars and buses to take us places now? Well, a long time ago during the Medieval times, people didn't have those things. They had to rely on other ways to transport themselves and their stuff from one place to another.

One way people got around was by walking. This could take a really long time, especially if they needed to travel a far away place. Another way was to ride horses. Horses were really important back then because they could go faster than people could walk, and they could also carry things like food and supplies.

If people had a lot of stuff to move, they sometimes used carts or wagons. These were basically big boxes with wheels that horses or oxen could pull. This was really helpful for moving things like crops, goods, and furniture. Sometimes people would even travel in the carts and wagons.

In some places, people also used boats to travel on water. This was really helpful if they needed to go somewhere that was hard to get to by land. They could also transport goods on the boats, which made trading with other towns and cities possible.

Overall, Medieval transport was very different from how we travel today. People had to rely on animals and their own two feet to get around, but they also found ways to make it work for them with carts, wagons, and boats.
