Melrose Plantation

Melrose Plantation is a house in Natchitoches, Louisiana that was built in the 1700s. It was the home of the Marie Therese Metoyer and the other members of the Metoyer family, who were the first free people of color in the United States. The house is made of bricks and wood, and has beautiful gardens and a Historic Church that was built on the property.
