Metabolic age is like the age of your body's engine. Just like cars, our bodies also have engines, called metabolism, that make everything work properly. Our metabolism takes the food we eat and turns it into energy which helps our body function properly.
When we talk about metabolic age, we are comparing the functioning of our body's engine (our metabolism) with the average for our age group. If our metabolism is functioning well and we are getting the right nutrition and exercise, our metabolic age will be the same as our age. But, if our metabolism is not working efficiently, for example, we eat too many calories or don't exercise, our metabolic age may be higher than our actual age.
So, to keep our body's engine working efficiently and keep our metabolic age the same as our actual age, we need to make sure we eat healthy foods, get enough exercise, and take care of our overall health.
