Metanoia (theology)

Metanoia in theology means a change of heart or mind, turning away from old ways of thinking and behaving, and turning towards God. It's like saying "oops, I was wrong" and deciding to make a change for the better. Just like when you accidentally spill juice on the floor, you say "oops" and clean it up with a towel, metanoia is like saying "oops" for our mistakes and making a change to be a better person.
