Microchannel plate detector

A microchannel plate detector is a special kind of tool used by scientists to make very small measurements. It works by using tiny tubes that are so small that even the smallest particles can go through them. Inside the tubes, there are charged particles that are sent through the tubes when something passes through them. If a particle passes through the tube, it will cause a signal in the detector that scientists can measure. This helps scientists measure tiny things that they couldn't measure before.
