Microform

Microform is like a tiny version of a book or a picture that is too small to read or look at with your eyes alone. It's made by shrinking down the original book or picture onto a small piece of film or paper, like taking a really small picture of a big picture.

You might need a special machine called a microform reader to see the tiny print or image. This machine has a special lens that can magnify the microform so you can actually see what it says or looks like.

People use microform because it takes up less space than the original book or picture. For example, a library might have a lot of microform copies of old newspapers, so they can store all the information without taking up as much room as the actual newspapers.

Even though microform is small, it can still hold a lot of information. So, it's a helpful technology for saving and accessing important documents and images without taking up too much physical space.
