Microinequity are little, small things people do or say that make someone else feel less important or respected because of who they are. These actions or words could be things like ignoring someone in a group conversation or constantly mispronouncing their name. They may seem small, but over time they can really add up and make someone feel like they don't belong or aren't valued.
It's like when you're playing with your friends and everyone gets a turn to pick the game except for you. It may seem like a small thing, but it can make you feel left out and not important. Microinequities happen to adults too, not just kids.
We should try to be aware of our actions and words, and make sure we treat everyone with respect and fairness, no matter who they are.
