Middle Ages

The Middle Ages were a time period in European history that lasted from about 500 AD to 1500 AD. This was a time of big changes, including a movement away from the Roman Empire, which had previously been in control of much of Europe. People during this time period were mostly farmers, and they were ruled by kings or queens. People also wore different clothes than we wear today, and most of their homes were made of wood and stone. People also believed in magical things like witches and dragons, and during this time period learned a lot about religion.
