Mills vs. Board of Education of District of Columbia

Okay kiddo, so there were some big grown-ups called Mills and Board of Education of District of Columbia who had a big argument about special education.

See, some children have difficulty learning and need extra help in school. Mills thought that every child, no matter what, should have access to a good education with special help if they need it. Board of Education didn't think they had to provide help for all kids and only wanted to help some kids with money.

Mills thought this was unfair because every child should have a chance to learn and grow. So Mills took the Board of Education to court to help all the children who needed extra help. In the end, the court decided that every child deserved a good education, no matter what they needed help with. So now all the children have the chance to learn and be successful.
