Mine-clearing line charge

A mine-clearing line charge is like a big rope full of explosives that is used to clear out land mines. Imagine you are playing outside in a big field, but some bad guys have planted hidden bombs in the ground. These bombs might accidentally hurt people who step on them. So, someone brings out a long rope that is full of powerful boom-boom things – these are explosives that make a really loud noise and shake the ground. They attach one end of the rope to a vehicle or a tank, and they fire the other end towards the bad guys' bombs. When it lands, the rope goes BOOM and explodes all the hidden bombs nearby. It makes a big mess, but now the ground is safe for people to walk on again!
