Mineral oil

Okay kiddo, so mineral oil is a type of oil that is made from rocks. Yes, rocks! It's not the same as the oil that comes from plants or animals. Scientists take rocks and turn them into a liquid that we can use for lots of different things.

Mineral oil is very slippery and doesn't mix well with water. This makes it great for things like lubricating machines and other things that need to move smoothly. It's also used in lots of beauty products like lotions, baby oil, and lip balm because it helps to keep our skin soft and moisturized.

But, mineral oil is not safe for us to eat. It can make us very sick if we swallow it. So, we can't use it for cooking or eating. Also, it's not good for the environment because it can harm animals and plants if it gets into the soil or water.

So, mineral oil may seem like magic because it can do lots of different things, but we have to be careful with it and use it only for the right purposes.
