Minimal music

Imagine you're listening to a song, but instead of lots of different melodies and complicated rhythms, there's just one or two very simple repeating patterns. They might sound a bit like a clock ticking, or like somebody saying the same word over and over again. This is what we call "minimal music" - it's basically music that uses very simple sounds and patterns, but repeats them in different ways to create a sort of hypnotic effect.

Some people really like minimal music because it can be a bit like meditation - you focus on the repeating patterns and kind of let your mind drift away. Other people find it boring, because there's not as much change or variation as in other types of music. But either way, minimal music can be a really interesting and unique listening experience!
