ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Mining act

Okay kiddo, so imagine you have a huge playground where there are lots of valuable things like gold, silver, and other minerals hidden deep beneath the ground. Now, if someone wants to take out those valuable things and make money, they have to follow some rules that are set by the government. And those rules are called the mining act.

The mining act is like a set of instructions that tell people what they should do when they want to find and remove valuable things from the ground. It tells them about the process they should follow, the safety rules they should abide by, and the taxes they should pay to the government.

So, before anyone can start digging in the playground, they have to get permission from the government and show that they can follow the rules. If they don't follow the mining act rules, they might get in trouble with the law.

The mining act is important because it helps to make sure that when people remove valuable things from the ground, they do it in a safe and responsible way. It also helps the government to make sure that they get a fair share of the money made from the valuable things taken from the ground.
