Mission (LDS Church)

A mission is a time when people from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (also known as the LDS Church or Mormons) leave their usual home and go to another part of the world to teach people about Jesus Christ and the LDS Church. During a mission, the missionaries will travel to different places, teaching people about the church and spreading God's love to those around them. They usually spend two years living in the place they are sent to, and they usually have to learn the language of that place. During their time there, the missionaries will have a lot of different activities, like meeting people, teaching them about the LDS Church, and helping with community projects. The goal of all this work is to help people know about Jesus Christ and learn about the teachings of the LDS Church.
