Mixed bathing

Mixed bathing is when boys and girls or men and women swim together in the same pool or beach. Usually, people divide the swimming area in separate sections for boys and girls or men and women. But sometimes, they allow everyone to swim together in the same area.

It can be fun to swim with friends of all genders and ages, but sometimes people think it's not appropriate. They might believe that seeing boys or men and girls or women in swimsuits together is not allowed. However, there are places where mixed bathing is allowed, and people can enjoy swimming together regardless of their gender.

Sometimes, people wear special clothes called swimsuits, so they can swim more comfortably. These swimsuits cover the body parts that we usually keep private. For girls and women, it's common to wear a bathing suit or bikini that covers their chest and bottom. For boys and men, they usually wear swimming shorts that cover their private parts.

Mixed bathing can be a lot of fun, but we always have to be respectful of other people's boundaries and make sure we follow the rules of the place we're swimming in.
