Mixotrophic

Mixotrophic means being able to use different sources of energy and nutrients to survive. It's like having a superpower that allows a living thing to switch from using sunlight (like plants) to eating other things (like animals) whenever it needs to. This makes mixotrophic organisms very adaptable and able to survive in different environments, whether it's in the water, soil, or air. These organisms can switch between being autotrophic, meaning they can make their own energy using sunlight or chemicals in their environment, or heterotrophic, meaning they have to eat other things to get energy. Mixotrophic organisms are like having the best of both worlds!
