Surgery is a medical procedure where doctors use special tools and medications to help someone's body heal. It is used to fix problems in the body, such as broken bones, illnesses, or to take out unhealthy parts. During surgery, a doctor will make an incision, or cut, in the skin. Then they will clean out the area and fix the problem. After they are done, they will close the incision with either stitches, staples, or glue.
