Molten salt oxidation

Okay, so imagine you have some trash that you want to get rid of, but you can't just throw it away because it's dangerous for the environment. So what you can do is put the trash in a special machine called a molten salt oxidizer.

This machine is like a really hot oven, and inside it there is a special liquid called molten salt. This liquid is also really hot, but it can get even hotter than a regular oven. So when you put the trash in the machine, it gets really hot because of the molten salt, and something called oxidation happens.

Oxidation is when something combines with oxygen and creates a chemical reaction. When the trash is in the machine, it combines with oxygen from the air and turns into gas. This gas is mostly made up of carbon dioxide and water vapour. These are safe gases that won't hurt the environment.

So basically, molten salt oxidation is a really smart way to get rid of dangerous trash without hurting the environment. The machine uses heat and a special liquid to turn the trash into safe gases that won't harm anything. Pretty cool, right?
