ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Money management

Money management is all about taking care of your money. It means making good decisions to help you get the most out of the money you have, and save for the things you want and need.

It starts with planning. Before you spend money, think about how you want to use it. Do you need it for something important? Or do you want it for something fun? When you plan, you can make sure you have enough money for the things you need, and if there's anything left over, you can enjoy it.

Next comes spending wisely. Spend your money on things that you need and/or will last long. Be careful not to buy things that are too expensive or that you don't need. Look for coupons or sales before making big purchases.

It's also important to save. Put a portion of your money into a savings account so that you can have something to fall back on if something unexpected happens.

Finally, make sure to track your money. Count up your spending and savings every month, so that you can stay on top of your money. Keeping an eye on your money helps you stay organized and make sure you're not spending more than you can afford.
