Mongol invasions of India

Okay kiddo, so a long, long time ago, there was a group of people called the Mongols who lived in a big place called Mongolia. They were really good at riding horses and fighting in battles.

One day, the leader of the Mongols, named Genghis Khan, decided that he wanted to conquer new lands. He and his army started taking over different countries, like China, Russia, and even parts of Europe.

Eventually, they made their way to India. The Mongols wanted to conquer India because it was a wealthy and important place.

The first time the Mongols came to India was in the 13th century. They faced some resistance from the Indian soldiers, but they were able to defeat them and take over parts of northern India.

The Mongols didn't stay in India for very long, though. They were too busy fighting wars in other places, and they eventually left India and never came back.

The Mongol invasions of India were significant because they caused a lot of destruction and turmoil. Many people were killed or forced to leave their homes. However, the Mongols didn't stay long enough to leave a lasting impact on Indian culture and society.
