Monocular rivalry

Have you ever looked at two different pictures with your two eyes and your brain had a hard time deciding which one to focus on? That's kind of like what monocular rivalry is.

Monocular rivalry happens when you look at two different images with just one eye. Your brain can't decide which image to focus on, so it switches back and forth between the two. This happens because your brain is always trying to make sense of the information it's getting from your eyes.

Think of it like this: your eyes are like two cameras taking pictures of the world around you. Your brain takes those pictures and puts them together to create one cohesive picture. But when you look at two different images with just one eye, your brain is confused and can't figure out what to do.

Scientists study monocular rivalry to try to understand how our brains process visual information. It's a really interesting phenomenon that helps us understand more about how we see the world around us!
