Moon landing

The moon landing happened in 1969. That's when astronauts from the United States flew to the moon in a spaceship called Apollo 11. They stepped onto the moon's surface, which made them the first humans ever to stand on the moon! Astronauts Neil Armstrong and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin were the first two to step onto the moon's surface. They also planted a flag on the moon. That flag is still there today!
