ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Moore curve

The Moore's Curve is an example of a self-similar mathematical equation that has many interesting shapes! It's a type of equation that is made up of multiple "loops" and looks kind of like a roller coaster. It's named after British mathematician Henry Moore, who first came up with it in 1965. The equation is used to create mathematical shapes that have a repeating pattern. For example, if you look at a graph of the Moore's Curve, it will look like a roller coaster with the same loop pattern repeated over and over again. It's interesting because it's a complex shape made from just a few simple equations!
