ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Moore's law

Moore's Law is the idea that the number of transistors that can fit on a computer chip (which makes it smaller and faster) will double every two years. This means that computers will become more powerful as technology gets better and better, allowing us to do more things with them and make them smaller and faster at the same time. So, Moore's Law says that if you buy a new computer today, it will be twice as powerful two years from now.
