Mosaic

A mosaic is kind of like a picture made up of lots of little pieces called tiles. Think about when you do a puzzle and there are lots of tiny pieces you have to put together to make one big picture. It’s kind of like that, but instead of fitting puzzle pieces together, you have to carefully glue lots of small tiles together to make a picture.

The tiles can be all different shapes and colors, and they fit together like a puzzle to make a bigger picture. People have been making mosaics for thousands of years, and you can see them all over the world - on the floors and walls of buildings, in art museums, and even in gardens. Some mosaics are very big, and some are very small - it all depends on what the artist wants to make.

So, if you want to make a mosaic, you need to have lots of small tiles in different colors and shapes, and then you have to carefully glue them together to make a picture. Just like with a puzzle, you have to make sure that each tile fits in the right spot, and when you’re done, you’ll have a beautiful work of art made of many tiny pieces!
