Mosquito coil

Have you ever seen a mosquito coil? It's a small, flat, and round object that people use to get rid of mosquitoes.

When we light a mosquito coil, it starts burning slowly, and it releases a special smoke that mosquitoes don't like. This smoke repels the mosquitoes, and they fly away from the area where we placed the coil.

Now, you might be asking, "How does the coil create that smoke?" Good question! The mosquito coil is made of a combination of different ingredients. One of the main ingredients is a special type of powder that comes from a tree called "Pyrethrum." This powder is very good at killing insects, but it's not harmful to humans or pets.

When we burn the mosquito coil, the heat from the flame activates the powdered Pyrethrum, and it starts to release a special gas called "pyrethrins." These gases are what make mosquitoes go away. Pyrethrins can also kill other flying insects, such as flies and gnats.

Remember, it's important to use mosquito coils safely. Always read the instructions on the package carefully and never leave a burning coil unattended. Also, make sure to use them in well-ventilated areas, so you don't breathe in too much smoke.
