Mosquito trap

Okay kiddo, so you know how sometimes pesky mosquitoes bug us and bite us? Well, a mosquito trap is something that helps catch those mosquitoes so they stop bothering us.

Mosquito traps work by using something called attractants. These are smells that mosquitoes really like and are drawn to. For example, some traps use something called carbon dioxide, which is a gas that we all breathe out. Mosquitoes love this gas and will go towards it, thinking it is a person to bite.

Once the mosquitoes are attracted to the trap, they get stuck inside. How does that happen? Well, some traps have a fan that is spinning really fast, which creates a whirlwind. When the mosquitoes fly into the whirlwind, they get sucked in and can't get out. Other traps use sticky material that trap the mosquitoes when they land on it.

Overall, mosquito traps can help us enjoy our time outside without getting bitten too much. They catch the mosquitoes that want to bite us and keep us safe and comfortable.
