Vector control

Vector control means trying to reduce or eliminate the bugs and animals that can make people sick. Some animals, like mosquitoes or rats, can carry germs and spread diseases like malaria or the plague. People try to control these animals to keep them away from people and to stop diseases from spreading. To do this, they might use different methods like spraying bug spray, putting up screens on windows, cleaning up trash that attracts rats, or using special chemicals that kill the bugs or make them not want to come near people. Vector control is like putting up a big shield to protect us from the bad germs that animals might carry.
