Extinction

Extinction is when a species of animal or plant dies out, so there are none left. It can happen because of natural causes like a volcano exploding, or a disease that kills the last few of a species, or because of humans like destroying their habitats, hunting them too much, or polluting the environment. When a species goes extinct, it's gone forever, so it's very important that we take care of our planet and the creatures that live on it!
