ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Movement (clockwork)

Clockwork is like a little world that lives inside a clock or a watch. It helps the clock or watch tell time by moving its hands or gears around in a certain pattern.

There are many little parts in the clockwork world that work together to make the clock or watch tick. Some of these parts are like tiny gears or wheels that spin around, while others are like little hands that move back and forth.

These parts all work together in a certain order, like a dance, to make the clock or watch move properly. Without all the parts working together, the clock or watch wouldn't be able to tell time like we need it to. So, it's very important for each part to do its job right!

That's why sometimes you might hear a clock or watch ticking or making noises - that's just the little parts inside working hard to keep us on time!
