ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Movie packaging

When you go to the store or look online to buy a movie, it usually comes in a package. This package can have a lot of information and different things on it.

The first thing you might see is the title of the movie. This tells you what the movie is called and helps you find it if there are lots of movies around.

There might also be pictures on the package that show you what the movie is about. Sometimes these pictures are drawn cartoons, and sometimes they are real pictures from the movie.

The package also usually has a rating on it. This tells adults whether the movie is ok for kids to watch or not. Some movies are only for grown-ups and have an "R" rating.

On the back of the package, you might see even more information! There might be a summary of what the movie is about, so you can decide if you want to watch it or not.

You might also find some quotes from other people who have watched the movie. These quotes can tell you what others thought of the movie.

Finally, you can find out how long the movie is and who is in it. This way you can see if it's the kind of movie you like and if you have enough time to watch it.

So, movie packaging is like a book cover - it gives you an idea of what the movie is about, who's in it, and if it's ok for you to watch.
