Multicast

Multicast is like throwing a special party where everyone you invite can come, no matter where they are. Multicast is a way for computers to share a message with many other computers at the same time. It is like a special message that is sent out all at once in order for lots of computers to get it at once. Any computer that wants to receive the message can join the party and get the message. It is a very efficient way to send messages because the same message can be sent to lots of computers, instead of sending it one at a time.
