ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Multichannel retailing

Multichannel retailing is when a store sells things in many different ways. It's like having many different doors to go into the store.

For example, let's say a store, like a toy store, wants to sell toys. Instead of just having one store that people can walk into, they might also have a website where people can buy toys online. They might also have an app that people can use to buy toys on their phones.

The store might also sell toys on other websites like Walmart, Amazon, or eBay. They might even have a TV channel where people can watch commercials about toys and buy them straight from the TV.

So, instead of only selling toys in one way, like in a store, they sell toys in many different ways. This makes it easier for people to buy toys however they want, whether it's online, on their phone, or in person.

Multichannel retailing is like having lots of different doors to help more people come into the store and buy things.
