Multisensory extended reality

Multisensory extended reality (MER) is a type of technology that will make it possible to experience the world with more than just the five senses we usually use. MER technology will allow us to see, hear, feel, and even smell things that do not actually exist in the physical world. For example, we might be able to use MER to experience being on a beach, even if we are actually in a different location. In addition, this technology can be used to help people with disabilities get around or help people learn and interact with the world in new ways.
