ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Head-mounted display

A head-mounted display is a fancy gadget that you wear on your face like a pair of glasses or goggles. It's like having a tiny TV screen right in front of your eyes!

The head-mounted display has two small displays, one for each eye, which show different pictures to make things look three-dimensional. These pictures are called virtual reality or augmented reality images.

With this gadget on your head, you can feel as if you are inside a game or movie like you are really there. You move your head around just like in real life and the things you see in the display will move too. It's really cool!

But you need to be careful while using it because you won't be able to see what's happening around you in the real world. It's important to have an adult around while using it, especially if you're walking or moving around.
