Muses

Okay, imagine you're drawing a picture or writing a story. Sometimes, you might feel like you're stuck and you don't know what to draw or write next. That's where a Muse comes in!

A Muse is like a special imaginary friend. They're not a real person, but they're someone you pretend is there to help you be creative. The ancient Greeks believed that Muses were actual goddesses who would inspire artists and writers with ideas for their work.

There were nine Muses, each with their own special talent. For example, one Muse was in charge of dancing, another was in charge of history, and another was in charge of love poetry. So if you were trying to write a love poem but had no idea what to write, you could pretend that the Muse of love poetry was helping you come up with ideas.

Muses might be imaginary, but lots of artists and writers still talk about them today. Some people even have a Muse that they always imagine sitting next to them while they work! So don't worry if you feel stuck - just imagine your Muse is there to help you out.
