Mustafa Kemal Atatürk

Mustafa Kemal Ataturk was a man from Turkey who lived from 1881 to 1938. He was an important leader and helped to make Turkey a free, independent and modern country. He started a number of reforms that changed Turkey and helped to improve people's lives. He said that everyone in Turkey should be equal, and he changed laws to make sure everyone would be treated fairly. He also said that girls should be able to go to school just like boys and changed laws so girls could go to school too. He wanted Turkey to be a modern country so he changed laws that allowed people to travel inside Turkey more easily and encourage new science and technology. He wanted women to contribute to the country more, so he gave them certain rights and opportunities. Mustafa Kemal Ataturk was an important leader and he changed things in Turkey to help it become a great nation.
