Naassenes

The Naassenes were a group of people who lived a long time ago and believed in a lot of different things that might seem weird to us today. They believed in something called gnosis, which means special knowledge, and they thought that this knowledge could help them get closer to God. They also believed in different gods and goddesses, including one who they thought was a woman and another who they thought was a snake.

One of the things that the Naassenes believed was that the serpent in the story of Adam and Eve in the Bible was actually a good thing. They thought that the serpent represented wisdom and knowledge, and that by eating the fruit from the tree of knowledge, Adam and Eve were actually becoming more like God. They also believed in the idea of reincarnation, which means that when you die, your spirit comes back in another body.

The Naassenes had a lot of different ideas about religion and spirituality, and their beliefs were considered very different and strange compared to what other people believed at the time.
