Naqsh-e Rustam

Naqsh-e Rustam is a very old place in Iran where ancient people made some really big carvings on rocks. The carvings are like big pictures of people and animals and symbols. They carved them a long time ago, like over 2,000 years ago!

The carvings are very important because they tell us things about the old rulers and kings of Iran. The rulers and kings wanted people to remember them and their families, so they made these big carvings.

The carvings are very big and high up on the rocks, so people used ladders or ropes to get up to them. There are four big carvings and they show the kings and their families on horses or standing up tall.

People still go see these carvings today because they are so important and interesting. They can learn a lot about the old Iranian rulers and what they wanted people to remember about them.
