ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Narrow class group

Okay kiddo, let me explain what a narrow class group is. You know that when you’re in school, you have classmates, right? And these classmates are usually grouped into classes based on the subjects they’re studying. For example, you may have a math class, an English class, a science class, and so on.

Now, imagine that you are in a math class with 20 other students. Out of those 20 students, only 5 of them are girls and the rest are boys. This group of girls who belong to the same math class is what we call a narrow class group. It means that there is a small number of people within a class who share common characteristics or traits.

Does that make sense? It basically means that when you’re in a class, you may be grouped together with a small number of people who share things in common with you, like your gender, age, race, or interests. This can be helpful in some cases because you get to work with people who understand you better, but it can also be limiting in terms of diversity and exposure to different perspectives.
