Nasserism

Nasserism is a political idea named after Egyptian leader Gamal Abdel Nasser. It is focused on nationalism, anti-imperialism, socialism, and economic development. Nasser wanted to make Egypt more powerful and independent. He believed the Egyptian people should be in control of their own country and that they should have equal rights and opportunities. He wanted to end Western imperialism, which is when foreign countries control the government and economy of another country. He also wanted to make sure the country’s money was used to help all Egyptians, not just those at the top. He wanted all people to have a better life and more opportunity. He wanted to spread his ideas throughout the region and believed Egyptians should work together to make their country a modern, successful nation.
