ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

National Electronic Health Transition Authority

The National Electronic Health Transition Authority, also known as NEHTA, is like a big safe box that keeps all of your important medical information together in one place. Just like how you keep all your favorite toys in your toy box, the doctors and hospitals keep all your important medical information in this electronic box.

This is really helpful because when you go to see a different doctor or get sent to a new hospital, they need to know all about your health history. It would be hard for them to keep track of all the different pieces of information if they were scattered all over the place.

So NEHTA makes it easy for doctors and hospitals to share and access all of your medical information quickly and safely. It keeps everything organized and helps to make sure you get the best care possible!
