ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

National Fire Protection Association

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) is a big group of grown-ups who work together to help keep us safe from fires. They make rules about things like how to build a safe house, what kind of smoke detectors to use, and what to do if there's a fire. Just like we follow rules to stay safe while crossing the street, grown-ups follow the NFPA rules to stay safe from fires. Firefighters also use the NFPA rules to help put out fires and keep us safe.
