National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month

September is national prostate cancer awareness month, which means we talk about something called prostate cancer a lot! Prostate cancer is a sickness that can happen to some men. Your prostate is a small part of your body that makes some of the semen that comes out of your body when you go to the bathroom. But sometimes, something can go wrong with the prostate and that's when we have to be careful.

By talking about prostate cancer and learning more about it during national prostate cancer awareness month, we help make sure that men are getting checked by a doctor to make sure they don't have prostate cancer or to catch it early if they do. That way, doctors can help the person get better and they can continue to do all the things they love without any problems. So, during the month of September, we try to make sure everyone knows all about prostate cancer and how to take good care of themselves.
