ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Native (computing)

Native computing means running software applications directly on a computer instead of accessing them through a browser. It's like playing with your favorite toy without going to your friend's house to play with it. Basically, when you use a browser to run an application, you need the internet connection, but when you use it natively, you don't need an internet connection. Native computing is faster than using a browser and makes it easier to access the computer's hardware resources like sound and graphics. It also allows for better security and privacy as the application runs directly on the computer rather than being sent back and forth over the internet. So, think of it like having your favorite toys right in front of you to play with whenever you want, without needing your friend and their house.
