Natural filtration

Hello little one! Have you ever noticed how muddy water becomes clear when it sits still? That's because the dirt and other yucky stuff in the water sinks to the bottom.

Natural filtration is when we use nature’s own methods to clean water. It's similar to how the Earth cleans the water that we drink every day. The ground soaks up rainwater and filters out any impurities. The water then enters rivers and streams which further filter the water.

Some people also use natural filtration in their own backyards. They create something called a "rain garden" where rainwater is collected and filtered through soil and plants before it enters the ground. This helps keep our water clean and safe to drink.

So, natural filtration is like putting water through a big sieve, but instead of using a machine, we let nature do the work!
