Natural gas liquids

Hello! Natural gas liquids (NGLs) are a type of fuel that come from natural gas. Natural gas is a type of fossil fuel that is found underground. When we take natural gas out of the ground, it often contains some other substances besides gas. These substances are called Natural Gas Liquids.

Now, let's talk about what's inside natural gas liquids. NGLs are made up of different compounds that are similar to each other. Some of these compounds are called ethane, propane, butane, and pentane. Each of these compounds has different properties and uses.

Ethane is used in the process of making plastics, while propane is commonly used as a fuel to heat homes and cook food. Butane can also be used as a fuel, and is commonly used in lighters and as a propellant in aerosol cans. Pentane is commonly used in the production of gasoline.

So, why do we use natural gas liquids? They are used in many ways, such as:

- Heating homes and buildings
- Cooking food
- Fueling cars and trucks
- Making plastics, such as water bottles
- Manufacturing chemicals and other products

Natural gas liquids are a valuable resource, and we continue to find new and innovative ways to use them.
